Last Months Meeting Highlights:

• t was agreed by all that the officers were elected to office so late in the year that they would serve until next September.

• It was also agreed that the bylaws were not in need of revision (September is the time our bylaws come up for review).

• MRWC agreed that it was not appropriate for the council to endorse the levee that Patsy Miller was promoting, but that it was appropriate for interested individuals to support it with letters to the editor.

• There was a discussion about data confidentiality and Sandra Coveny planned to attend a September 11th meeting with GWEB bringing people's issues about data access to the table. There will be a handout at the council meeting detailing the results of this meeting. • There is interest in starting up an Oak Creek Sub-basin group. Anyone living in Oak creek/Squaw creek is encouraged to attend the October meeting to become familiar with the council.

• Sandra Coveny gave a presentation about the Marys River Watershed Council to the Benton County Environmental Board on September 17th. One potential outcome of this presentation is that Benton County is interested in partnering with the MRWC to create informational Kiosks at area parks addressing watershed issues.
